Jessie A. Reidy (neé Schreiber) Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on February 19, 2026. Jessie was born in Baltimore and raised in Anne Arundel County. For the past 59 years, both Jessie and her husband have remained residents of Severna Park.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Grace Schreiber. She is survived by her husband of 67 years and their three sons, Donald C. Reidy, Brian L. Reidy (Yolette) and David W. Reidy (Kim), she is also survived by six grandchildren, Amber, Alicia, Ashley, Brian, Brittany, and Bo. And in addition to six grandchildren she is also survived by eight great grandchildren. She was the eldest of her parents’ three daughters and is survived by her sister Beverly Barrett. Her youngest sister, Harriet, predeceased Jessie.

After she retired from nearly 25 years of enjoyable service at Woods Child Development Center, Jessie and her husband expanded their travel adventures to include numerous trips to Europe with additional visits to the Caribbean, Windward Islands, and Bermuda. Her adventures included hot air balloon rides, trips on sailplanes and a blimp trip in Florida. These were just some of the highlights of her and her husband’s outings.

However, her greatest joy was spending precious moments with her family and friends, especially with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Unfortunately, because of the effects of her advanced stage of Alzheimer disease she wasn’t able to fully show her love and affection toward her loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Autism Speaks or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
