Jeffrey A. Oakes, 32, a resident of Severna Park since 1984, died Feb. 7 at a private residence in Brooklyn Park.

Born Aug. 19, 1972, in Homestead, Fla., and the son of Ronald and Christine Gervais Oakes of Severna Park, Mr. Oakes graduated from Severna Park High School in 1990.

He served in the Navy from 1991 to 1992.

He worked for Hawthorne Fine Bakeries in Severna Park as a baker and the former T.C. Simons in road construction.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are one son, Tristan Oakes of Elkton, and two brothers, Jerry Oakes of Elkton and Jason Oakes of Daytona, Fla.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services and burial are private.
