Jeffrey Feldman

Jeffrey Allen Feldman, 60, a resident of Severna Park for 13 years, died of cancer Oct. 31 at his home after a seven-month illness.



Born Aug. 23, 1947, in Baltimore, Mr. Feldman was reared in Baltimore and Reisterstown and was a past resident of Cape St. Claire. He earned a bachelor's degree and three master degrees from Loyola College in Maryland in Baltimore, and was certified as a substance abuse and mental health counselor. In the early 1970s he served in the Army National Guard.

Mr. Feldman retired from the Anne Arundel County public school system, having worked as a guidance counselor at Fort Meade High School until 2001. He then worked in the fields of drug addiction and domestic violence and mental heath counseling. He also taught part-time at Anne Arundel Community College.

Surviving are his wife, RoseAnn Balcer Feldman, whom he married Aug. 11, 1979; and his mother, Irene Feldman of Towson. He was the son of the late Dr. Martin Feldman.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial is private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
