Jeannette Vonville Newcomb passed away on September 2, 2023.
Jeannette, who was affectionately known as "Bootsie" by most friends and all of her family, was born on April 5, 1935 to Ethel Elizabeth (nee Tribbitt) Vonville and John Frank Vonville in Greensboro, MD. She grew up in Centreville, MD and attended Greensboro Elementary School, and Centreville High School. She was raised Catholic and her faith was very important to her throughout her life. She was a co-owner of Pools Plus, and worked as an office manager of various local pool companies throughout her career. She met George Edsel Newcomb and they were married on July 2, 1953. They lived in Cambridge, MD before settling in Millersville where they raised their four children.
She enjoyed being a "snowbird" for over 30 years and made friends with people all over the U.S. and Canada. She loved traveling, crocheting and all types of crafts, word puzzles, shopping, and most of all spending time with her large family and many friends. She was a member of the Church of the Crucifixion.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Edsel Newcomb, her brothers Charles Vonville, John Joseph Vonville, Phillip Vonville and her sisters Ruthanna Callahan and Mary Catherine Breeding.
She is survived by her son Frank (Kathy) Newcomb of Rhodesdale, MD; her daughters JoAnn (Jerry) Pennington of Millersville, MD, Kathy Armitage of Glen Burnie, MD, and Emily (Mike) Donaho of Pasadena, MD; as well as nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jeannette's life on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 2pm in the Eastern Shore Maryland Veteran Cemetery, 6827 E New Market Ellwood Rd, Hurlock, MD 21643.
