Rev. Jeanne Klauda, retired clergy was born on February 26, 1945. She walked faithfully with God in a life filled with loving service until January 23, 2024. She died in her home in Annapolis, Maryland where it was her wish to remain until her passing. This is the Cape St. Claire home she shared with the late Dr. Mary Alice Douty Edwards, a close friend and companion to Rev. Jeanne Klauda.
Rev. Jeanne Klauda began her ministry in 1976 at the First United Methodist Church of Hyattsville. In 1981 she was appointed to Salem United Methodist Church in Brookeville, and she became the pastor at North Bethesda United Methodist Church in 1986. In 1999 she served at Severna Park United Methodist Church. In 2003 she served Providence-Fort Washington United Methodist Church. In 2006 she became a Retired Elder.
Over the last several years and during her final days, she was cared for by her adopted family, Donald Cox, Jennifer Taylor-Cox, Samantha Meekins, James Meekins, Dani Cox, Joey Cox, Sarah Cox, and Rev. Sandra S. Taylor.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the "Campership" program which helps all who are in need of financial assistance to enjoy a week of Christian camping in all its outdoor glory. These contributions are to be mailed to : West River Retreat Center, P.O. Box 429, Churchton, MD 20733.
