Mrs. Nancy Jeanne Wertz Kerridge, daughter of the late Marcus Emmons Wertz Jr. and Georgieanna Cecile Wertz, passed away on May 4, 2026. Jeanne was born on January 19, 1944, in Newport, Rhode Island and is survived by her siblings Marcus Emmons Wertz III and his wife Nancy and Carol Wertz Sutter and her husband Dave as well as her stepmother Constance (Connie) Wertz of Bethlehem, PA.

She loved her children: Douglas Campbell Kerridge and his wife Susie of New Canaan, CT; Scott Gordon Kerridge and his wife Whitney of Severna Park, MD and Shelby Lynne Kerridge Englert and her husband Kyle of Chester, MD. Additionally, she leaves eight grandchildren Haley (Andrew), Travis, Jack, Tristen, Alexandra, Charles, William and Arthur who meant the world to her.

Jeanne loved her eight grandchildren and attending as many of their events as she was able. She was a consistent figure on the sidelines of so many Severna Park soccer games that parents from all teams knew her and her welcoming smile. Her grandchildren will remember her by what she baked for them: the family marble birthday cake, Funfetti cupcakes, and brownies.

Jeanne attended Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, PA followed by Southwestern at Memphis (now Rhodes College) in Memphis, TN where she studied sociology and anthropology. While at college, Jeanne was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.

Following college, Jeanne was a stewardess for American Airlines based out of Chicago, IL. When her children were older, Jeanne went back to work as a corporate travel agent, which she was very proud of. She loved to travel around the world and visited her 50th and final state (Alaska) for her 70th birthday.

After retirement, Jeanne loved to play bridge with her friends. The time and the friendship with these ladies brought her real joy. She also was a member of the Panhellenic Club of Annapolis where she actively participated in the Merit Awards program.

Jeanne lived a life of love, friendship, warmth and grace. She was a proud and stubborn person who never complained. She will be greatly missed.

Jeanne always had a big smile for everyone and that is how she will be remembered. A Celebration of Life is planned for June 13, 2026, between 12-3:00pm at the Severn Inn Annapolis (1993 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd). Please join us to remember the life of a wonderful mother, sister, and friend.

Jeanne will be buried with her parents at the East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton, New Jersey at a future date.
