Jeane Eckert died on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at age 78. Jeane was born in Newton, Massachusetts to Sylvia and Francis Hinckley on March 24, 1943. Jeane was a mother, a sister, a grandmother, a wife, and a friend. She believed that family came first, always. She was a listener more than a talker, always ready to support and love those around her. Jeane loved to know people's stories, who they were and where they came from. She was a lover of animals, even being a director of Pets on Wheels. Jeane graduated with honors from UMBC with a degree in Social Work. Traveling the world, including Korea, Taiwan, Italy, France, Singapore and many more countries brought enjoyment to Jeane's life, although her favorite place was probably at the dining room table with her family. Jeane is survived by her sister, Patricia Miller, her children, Greg Miller, Todd Miller, and Colette Cross, and her grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Parker Cross, and Lilian Cross. Jeane stood by being kind, listening, offering a hand, and building others up. We know that Jeane is at peace and celebrating with her husband, Jay Eckert, who passed before her, and the many dogs who crossed the rainbow bridge before. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday March 12, 2022 at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. Dress is casual, as Jeane didn't like funeral attire much.
