Jean Elizabeth Fields Busch, 70, of Severna Park, died of heart failure May 29 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie.

Born and reared in Baltimore, Mrs. Busch lived in Severna Park since 1959. A homemaker, she was married in 1957 to Charles L. Busch Sr. who died in 2002. The couple moved in 1997 to Lewes, Del.

Earlier she was an accountant in the State of Maryland Comptroller's Office from 1985 to 1997 and worked in the accounting department at the former Hutzler's department store at its Southdale location in Glen Burnie.

Mrs. Busch was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and Post 28 in Oak Orchard, Del., and AMVETS Post 2 in Millsboro, Del. She enjoyed bird watching, reading, baking, cooking and gardening.

Surviving are two sons, Charles L. Busch Jr. of Severna Park and Brannon Busch of Chester; two daughters, Charlene McKenna of Marydel and Kathleen Busch of Arnold; her mother, Adele Fields of Bel Air; one sister, Martha McCammon of Forest Hill; one brother, Robert Fields of Belcamp; six grandsons; and one great-grandson.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow with a service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Burial will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
