Jean Ann Aebli passed away peacefully at her home in Severna Park on May 4 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 28, 1937 in Scranton, PA to Paul and Anna Refice. She is survived by her husband Robert Aebli of Severna Park, son Craig Aebli (Karen) of Sanford, FL, daughter Paula Overton (Steve) of Severna Park, grandsons, Drew Overton of Glen Burnie, MD and Colin Aebli (Lindsey) of Fredericksburg, VA, granddaughters Kristin Priola (William) of Auburn, AL and Kara Overton of Severna Park, great-granddaughter Eliana Priola, brother and sister-in-laws Jack and Angela Aebli of Binghamton, NY, sister-in-law Jane Refice of Scranton, PA, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandson Paul Overton and brother Frank Refice.

Jean attended Marywood High School and College in Scranton. She met her husband Bob shortly after graduating and were married on September 6, 1958. Jean lived a beautiful life with her husband Bob. She had the privilege of living in different states throughout the country in beautiful homes. In each place that Jean lived, she made strong friendships and embraced the qualities of that area. Jean and Bob also had a passion for travel, and they had the opportunity to travel to many different countries around the world.

Jean was especially proud of her Italian heritage. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved taking care of her home, entertaining and cooking fabulous meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed reading cookbooks like they were novels, listening to music, traveling, shopping and spending time with her loved ones.

Jean was born and raised Roman Catholic and lived daily with gratitude and strong Christian values. She would openly share her faith with her children, grandchildren and all that knew her. She was a very positive person who loved people and brought comfort to others. Those that knew or had an opportunity to meet Jean, will greatly miss her kindness, compassion and extreme generosity.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A reception will be held at Chartwell Country Club, 1 Chartwell Drive, Severna Park, MD 21146 immediately following the Memorial Mass.
