Jan (Jansen Clay) Knickerbocker , 71 , a 45 year resident of Severna Park MD died suddenly of a heart attack on Sunday, June 8 2014 in the home he shared with his wife of 50 years.
Those who knew Jan enjoyed his fine sense of humor, zest for life, love of cooking, fishing, and boating with family and friends.
Born March 27 1943 in Binghamton NY Jan retired in 2004 from General Electric with over 40 years as a sales engineer in the Washington D.C. Area.
He received numerous achievement awards for excellence in his field.
Jan is survived by his wife Betty, two sons, Geoffrey and Robert, five grandchildren, one sister and her family residing in Colorado.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association, Memorials Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
