Janet Elizabeth Miller, 72, long time resident of Severna Park, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday January 31, 2019.

Janet was born October 24, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Dolores (Kinney) Goetz. She Grew up in Detroit, Michigan.  She moved to Severna Park Maryland in 1985 where she lived for the past 32 years before moving to Stevensville, MD in October 2017.

Janet received her BA in Primary Education from University of Detroit, MI and her Master's from Bowie state University, MD

She was a retired Anne Arundel County Elementary school teacher who spent many years at Brooklyn Park Elementary as a third grade teacher and reading specialist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step mother Joan Goetz, and her brother John Goetz.

Janet is survived by Husband of 49 years, Patrick Miller, her Sisters, Mary Ann Christ and Mary Catherine Goetz, her brother Michael Goetz, three children; Amy Biddinger (Ron), John Miller (Meredith), Ryan Miller (Angela) and seven Grandchildren; Brittani, Michael, Luke, Anna, McKenna, Brody and Laney.

Friends may visit on Friday February 8, 2019 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Barranco & Sons,P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday February 9, 2019 at 9:00am in the St. John Neumann Mission Church 620 N. Bestgate Rd Annapolis, MD 21401.
