Jane S. Opdycke, 77, died June 17 at her home in Georgia after a four-year battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 17, 1931, in N.Y., but lived in the Severna Park/Annapolis area most of her life.
She was a Registered Nurse, and worked at Crownsville Psychiatric Hospital, North Arundel Hospital, and most recently, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, before her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading, theatre and music.
She is survived by her four children, Chet Bridgeman, Janie Bridgeman and Doug Bridgeman, all of Annapolis, and Julie Murphy of Suwanee, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, Annapolis.
