In Loving Memory of Jane L Flaherty (72), beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, peacefully departed from this world on May 18, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born on April 24, 1952 in Baltimore MD, to the late Genevieve and Roy Cromwell, Jane lived a life defined by love, compassion, and selflessness. A long time resident of Arnold, MD she attended Severna Park High School where she was the President of her senior class. She enrolled and graduated from the University of Maryland (CP) with a degree in Textiles and Design. There she met her husband of almost 50 years. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, nurturing her three children with unwavering devotion and sacrifice. A parishioner and school volunteer at St. John the Evangelist in Severna Park, her love knew no bounds, and her empathy and advice shaped the lives of those she cherished.

A beacon of resilience, Jane faced life's challenges with grace and patience, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own. Her creativity was only surpassed by her kindness and generosity which touched countless lives in her career as a radiology technologist, offering her time and kindness to those in need. Her devotion to her ten grandchildren and her spirit of giving enriched the lives of many.

In her quiet moments, Jane found solace in life's simple pleasures - a warm cup of tea, the beauty of nature, sunsets over the Severn River, collecting shells at the beach, and the company of her family. Her gentle spirit and thoughtfulness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may be gone from our sight, Jane will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding light whose love will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her soul find peace in the embrace of eternity, knowing that her legacy of love will endure for generations to come.

Survived by her husband of 48 years, Roger J. Flaherty, children Julia Kennedy, Kevin Flaherty

(Michelle Flaherty), and Erin Gotterer (Matthew Gotterer); her grandchildren Liam and Connell Kennedy, Norah, Colin, Fiona and Maisy Flaherty, and Ava, Ella, Adeline and Lilia Gotterer; and siblings, Peyton Cromwell (Irene Cromwell) and Gale Cromwell.

Rest in peace, dear Jane. Your love will live on in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday May 29, 2024 at 11:30am at St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie hwy Severna Park, MD 21146.
