Jane C. Burns, 90, a resident of Severna Park, died on June 22, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
She was born on July 30, 1919 in Norristown, PA, raised in Abingdon, PA, and graduated from Abingdon High School. She previously lived in Rugby Hall in Arnold for 43 years and then Sunrise Independent Living for the past 13 years.
Mrs. Burns was a homemaker and partner in Robert M. Burns & Associates.
She enjoyed knitting, reading, playing bridge, and golfing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Burns, who died on September 28, 1973.
She is survived by her four sons, Robert Burns of Port St. Lucie , FL, Jeffrey Burns of Burnsville, NC, Scott Burns of Jupiter, FL, and Sanford Burns of Severna Park; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
