Jane Hynan Andrews passed away peacefully at her Severna Park home on December 18, 2013 of complications from dementia.
She was the daughter of the late Blanche and William Hynan, born in Norwalk, Connecticut on August 29, 1927., lived in Montgomery County Md. and in Severna Park for the last fifteen years.
Jane moved to Silver Spring, Md. at an early age and attended St. Michael's School and Academy of the Holy Name High School in Silver Spring. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 1952. She worked at The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab until 1956 and taught school at St. Gabriel's Elementary School, in the District of Columbia until her marriage to Clarence Andrews in 1958.
She is survived by her husband, four children, William of Columbia, Md., Susan Krisch of Ashton, Md., Thomas of Severna Park and Anne Province of Severna Park. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Emma Bolin of Sequim, Washington, Kyle Andrews of Chicago, IL, Sam Andrews, a student at Carnegie-Mellon University, Sophia Krisch of Berkley, California, Thomas Krisch of Ashton, John Krisch, a student at the University of Richmond, Andrew Province of Severna Park, and Claire Province of Severna Park. Her two brothers, John of Alexandria, Va. and William of San Ramon, Cal. also survive her.
There were many hobbies and interests in Janes's life, among which were reading, gardening, walking, history of art, music and tracing the genealogy of the Hynan and Andrews families. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren and was greatly loved by all.
There will be a private family
burial and a gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life at a later date.
