James Tallent
James E. Tallent, 67, a 39-year resident of Arnold and previously of Pasadena, died of pancreatic cancer Aug 28.
Mr. Tallent was born Oct. 20, 1940, in Baltimore, where he was raised.
He was a retired Assembly Line Worker from General Motors, and was a radio disc jockey for 90.5 FM on the Jungle Jim Show between 1994 and 2002.
He served in the Navy as a private third classman from 1959 to 1963.
He was a member of the UAW Union 108, American Legion Post 175, and a member of the Hand Dancing Association of Washington, D.C.
He loved everything from the 1950s, hand dancing with his wife, do-whop music and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, John R. "Dick" Tallent; and one sister, Ginny Crout.
Survivors include his wife of more than 45 years, Martha Mary Tallent; one son, Daniel Ian Tallent of Randallstown; one daughter, Tracy A. Tallent of Shadyside; one brother, William Tallent Jr. of Milton, Del.; one sister, Joan Dick of Severna Park; and two grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
