James Edward Sokolowski passed away on October 19, 2022 at the age of seventy-six after a long battle with cancer. He was born on May 10, 1946 to Edward and Hattie Sokolowski, deceased. Jim is survived by his wife Patricia (Kacalski); son Daniel Sokolowski and his wife Jennifer Casey of Annapolis, MD; his daughter Darlene Gage and her husband Jonathan of Chesapeake, VA; his four granddaughters, Madison and Julia Sokolowski and Hanna and Heidi Gage; his brother Gary Sokolowski and his wife Kathy; his brother Tom Sokolowski and his wife Kathy. Also, survived by nephews and a niece. He served in the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as a Firefighter in crash and rescue. After the service, he worked at the U.S. Washington Navy Yard and then at the U.S. Naval Academy, until retirement. Jim enjoyed golf and played in a senior's league at Compass Pointe. He also loved bowling and played on two different bowling leagues at Annapolis Bowl. But most of all, Jim liked spending time with his granddaughters and watching their activities.

Family and friends may visit on November 3, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146.

A Catholic mass will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road Annapolis, MD 21401, on November 4, 2022 at 9:00am.

Interment will be on November 4, 2022 at 11:30am at Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD, 21032.
