James L. Schneider, 69, of Cudjoe Key, Fla., and formerly a resident of Severna Park from 1963 to 1992, died of natural causes March 16 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Schneider was born July 27, 1935, and reared in Milwaukee, Wis. He was the co-founder of Structural Preservation Systems Inc. of Baltimore. He retired from the company in 1991.

He was a member of Marathon Yacht Club in Florida and enjoyed travel, reading and deep sea fishing.

Surviving are seven daughters, Marybeth Bissonnette of Eagle, Wis., Cheryl Hart of Las Vegas, Nev., Bonita David of Pasadena, Lisa Mueller and Moya Wadsworth of Severna Park, Sarah Santana of Ann-apolis and Latasha Schneider of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sons, Brett Schneider of Baltimore, Gregory Schneider of Fort Pierce, Fla., and James Schneider of Annapolis; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Burial will be private.
