James Ronald Sams, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 28, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 8, 1958 to James Ronald Sams Sr. and Edith June Sams in Norton Virginia. He was raised in Annapolis, Maryland and attended Annapolis High School. After High School he enlisted in the US Navy and during his service he attended Basic Electricity and Electronics School in Great Lakes, IL and the Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, FL. After his military service he used what he had learned to become a Mechanical Engineer and Circuit Board Designer.He attended Anne Arundel Community College and got his AS degree. He married his wife Antoinette in 2001 and settled in Arnold MD, where they raised their family together. James was employed at Jackson & Tull, Northrop Grumman, and ERT. James was also a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He enjoyed reading, playing computer games, working at Thunderhold Forge at the Renaissance Fair, the SCA, attending to his duties in the CG Auxiliary and most importantly spending time with his daughters.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James R. Sams Sr. and Edith June Sams, as well as his brother David Wayne Sams.
He is survived by his wife, Antoinette of Arnold, Maryland; his daughters Sarah Amber Sams of Sparrows Point, Maryland and Patricia Edith Sams of Arnold, Maryland; his Sister Belinda Murchake, Brother Robert Sams, Nephews John Sams, Jordan Sams of Stevensville, Maryland; Christopher Murchake of Odenton, Maryland, Ryan Murchake, James A. Sams, and Marc Sams, Maryland; and Niece Allison Sams of Washington: and Kimberly Belt and DJ Arbogast who he loved like his own children.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 1st from 6:00pm-8:00pm, and Saturday, July 2nd, from 10:00am-11:00am, followed by a Service at 11:00am on July 2nd, at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home and Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, Maryland, 21146.
