James Hall Roy, Sr., 77, a resident of Millersville, MD died on March 4, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
He was born on January 31, 1934 in Baltimore and raised in Baltimore City and Howard County and he graduated from Howard County High School.
Mr. Roy worked with the National Security Agency for 37 years.
James loved to travel, spend time with his family and working in the garden. He loved horseracing and was a lifelong fan of the Orioles and the Colts.
He was preceded in death by his son, James H. Roy, Jr. and his sister, Doris Germroth.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen A. Clark of Millersville; two children, Kimberly A. Dyson of Annapolis and John S. Roy of Pasadena; and five grandchildren, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Catherine, Aaron and Lizzy.
All services will be private. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
