James Pumphrey
James "Bud" Pumphrey, 89, of Arnold, died Nov. 29 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after an illness of seven months.
Born June 13, 1917, in Baltimore, Mr. Pumphrey was retired from the former Western Electric Co. where he worked as a pipefitter for more than 25 years.
He served in the Army during World War II.
His hobbies were gardening and wood working and his interests were watching the Baltimore Orioles and the Ravens sports teams.
Survivors include his wife, Irene M. Pumphrey; one son, Stuart Pumphrey of Arnold; and one sister, Margaret Krantz of Mayo.
Funeral and burial services are private. Arrangements are by the Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
