Funeral services for James Edward Nawrocki Sr., 42, of Severna Park will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Mr. Nawrocki died Nov. 1 when struck by a car on Route 100 at Catherine Avenue, in Pasadena.
Mr. Nawrocki was born in Baltimore and raised in Cape St. Claire. He graduated from South River Vocational Technical School.
He was the owner and operator of Rocko's Trucking Co. in Severna Park and worked with the Anne Arundel Recycling program.
He was a respected auto mechanic and especially enjoyed working on race cars and antique cars. He participated in racing cars and trucks in several states and in speedboat racing on the Chesapeake Bay.
Survivors include his parents, Anna Marie and James Albert Nawrocki of Cape St. Claire; one son, James Edward Nawrocki Jr. of Denton; three sisters, Maria Nawrocki of Edgewater, Christina Fleshman-Folderauer of Arnold and Crystal Beyerlein of Pasadena; and one brother, David Nawrocki Sr. of Edgewater.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Barranco and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakemont Memorial Gardens
