On Monday June 8th, 2015 James "Jim" Evans of Millsboro DE, died peacefully in his sleep.
Jim was born in Ohio but he was raised in Baltimore. He joined the U.S. Marines at the age of 17 where he served honorably. After leaving the service he earned his B.S. Degree from the University of Baltimore and went to work for the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn. Jim enjoyed watching and talking about all things sports but his favorite teams were the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary (Gerri) Evans; his 3 sons Joe, Jamey, and Jason Evans, his daughter Shelley Seibert; 2 brothers Bud and Raymond Michno; his 2 sisters Lola Kuebler and Phyllis Olinger; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 2-6 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
