James J. Jantzen, of Severna Park, MD died of pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Chesapeake Hospice House in Linthicum, MD. He was 63. Mr. Jantzen was born in the Bronx, NY and was a resident of East Northport in Long Island, NY. He served in the Marines as a Lance Corporal. He was an owner and manager of Island Rental and was manager of the Island Engine & Parts Co. Mr. Jantzen enjoyed golf and was a former member of Wheatly Hills Country Club in NY and a member of Chartwell Golf Country Club in Severna Park, MD. In addition to golf, he enjoyed vacationing with family and friends and fishing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A .Jantzen (nee Derry) a daughter, Debra Ann Duffy of Severna Park; two grandchildren, Shane and Megan Duffy of Severna Park, MD; two sisters Catherine Jantzen of Bronx, NY and Helen Astraikis of Oklahoma City, OK, and two brothers, William Jantzen of Selden, NY and Charles Jantzen of Arizona. Visitation at Barranco and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, 4/20/2006, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Services Friday, 4/21/2006, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew by the Bay Roman Catholic Church in Annapolis, MD.
