James R. "Bill" Irvine, of Severna Park, died on March 7, 2010 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a month long illness.
He was born in Lexington, VA and moved to Maryland after serving in the Army during WWII. Bill was a pioneer of the Raised Access Flooring Industry and founded Irvine Access Floors, Inc in 1961. He was a well-liked man who enjoyed woodworking, gardening, bird watching and spending time with his family and dogs; Honey Bee and Daisy May.
Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Irvine, and a daughter Joy Deleon (Jose) of Severna Park and a son Charles Irvine (Colleen) of Lexington, VA, six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Friends may visit at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 9th, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wed, March 10th, at 1230pm. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery, Glen Burnie.
