James Eugene Huebler, 73, a four-year resident of Arnold and formerly of Baltimore, Perry Hall and Lewes, Del., died of complications from pneumonia March 21 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a two-month illness.

Mr. Huebler was born Nov. 5, 1931, and reared in Baltimore, where he graduated from Calvert Hall College high school. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from the University of Baltimore.

He served in the Army as a sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1955.

During his career, he worked for Price-Modern Inc. in Baltimore from 1955 to 1987 and for Midway Office Products from 1987 to 2002.

Mr. Huebler was a past president of the St. Anthony of Padua Home School Association, a member of St. Jude Mission and a Little League coach.

He also was past president of Baltimore Office Products Association and past governor of District 3 of the National Office Products Association.

He was the widower of Louise Burgess Huebler, whom he married March 14, 1953.

Surviving are one son, James E. Huebler Jr. of Perry Hall; two daughters, Ann H. Furst of Severna Park and Jeanne B. Cochron of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Francis Huebler of Timonium; two sisters, Bernadette Hillyer of Castleberry, Fla., and Dolores King of Parkville; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway. Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Baltimore.
