On October 2, 2009, JAMES A. HINES, after fighting a courageous battle with leukemia, passed away with his family at his side.
Jimmy was born in Takoma Park, MD on April 22, 1958. He was the son of the late Douglas C. and Bertha E. Hines. Jimmy was raised in Hyattsville, MD and graduated from Northwestern High School. After graduation, he worked for the Asplundh Tree Expert Company. In 1985, he began his career with Baltimore Gas & Electric as an underground lineman.
He was a loving husband to his wife Jane of 28 years. He was a loving and devoted father of three sons, Christopher J. Hines, Bryan D. Hines, and Kevin R. Hines all residing at the home in Arnold, MD. Also surviving are his brothers Douglas L. Hines of Hagerstown, MD, Ronald E. Hines of Bowie, MD and his twin John R. Hines of Mt. Rainier, MD, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He loved fishing and boating at Lake Gaston. He enjoyed times spent with family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Bay Area Community Church, 884 Chesterfield Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the church.
