James Dunn, 72, a resident of Annapolis for 23 years and previously of York, Pa., died of
Mesothelioma cancer Dec. 18, 2009, at home with his family.
James Dunn was born and raised in Queens, N.Y., before moving to York, Pa. in 1978.
He retired as Regional V.P. of Vogue Tyre Company, where he was employed for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958.
He was a member of the Fleet Reserve in Annapolis, Elks, Knights of Columbus and American Legion. His interests included fishing, golf and boating, and he was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Lillian Dunn.
He is survived by two children, John Dunn of Mechanicsburg, Pa. and Michael Dunn of Arnold; and two grandchildren, James and Leah Dunn of Arnold.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 22 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 23 at St. John Neumann in Annapolis; interment in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
