On May 21st 2012 Jim lost his battle to cancer at the age of 62. Jim was raised in the Hamilton area of Baltimore, spending his summers and later his adult life in the Shore Acres community of Arnold. He graduated from Poly Tech High School and attended Anne Arundel Community College. Jim served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He had a long career in advertising working for the Baltimore Sun, The Washington Times, The Jewish Times and The Capital/Gazette Communications. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. Survived by his wife, Sandra L. Born; daughter, Tracey L. Bowers; three sons from a previous marriage, Gordon, Paul, and Patrick; and 8 grandchildren. Per Jim's request, no services will be held.
