IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Anderson
February 27, 1951 – February 26, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Edward Anderson, a beloved 73-year-old father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend. He left this world on February 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born to proud parents William Walter and Irene Yvonne Anderson Jimmy grew up in the Washington D.C. area where he attended St. Mary's Church & School and was a proud graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School.
He was a feeder and delivery driver for UPS for 32 years. He served 2 years for the United States Marine Corps and devoted his retirement to being a grandfather, playing golf, and serving the community as an usher at St. John the Evangelist Church. Jimmy was also a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.
Jimmy was a loving husband for 50 years to Marie Anderson and a loving father to Kevin (wife Jenni) and Stephen (wife Stephanie) Anderson. He loved his granddaughters Morgan and Quinn and grandsons Aiden and Kalen. He was the middle child of three siblings: the late Robert and the late Richard Anderson. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Dennis Barton and nieces Danielle Swimm and Lisa Edwards, nephew Patrick Edwards and many friends.
He was loyal, kind, and generous. Jimmy did not meet a person that did not become his friend, leaving a lasting impression to those around him. His work ethic was unmatched, and his life was devoted to God, country, and family.
In the midst of our grief, we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with Jimmy. His legacy lives on in his sons and grandchildren.
