Funeral services were held today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home for Jale Cain, 38, of Selbyville, Del., who died of cancer July 23 at her home after a long illness.
Born April 12, 1967, in Washington, D.C., she was raised in Severna Park and was a 1985 graduate of Severna Park High School. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a business degree and was employed as a phlebotomist at Johns Hopkins Hospital before opening a day care center in Pasadena in 1995.
In 1997 she relocated to Ocean City and attended Wor-Wic Community College for a certificate in nursing while operating her own cleaning business.
She enjoyed the ocean, horseback riding, drawing, oil painting, music, gardening, decorating, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Cain; her son, Joshua Cain, her daughter, Tiffany Cain, all of Selbyville; her mother, Linda Dorkan of Severna Park, and her brother, Murat Dorkan of Timonium. She was the daughter of the late Cenap Dorkan.
Burial will be tomorrow at Granite Memorial Cemetery in Bishopville in Worcester County,
