March 30, 1916 – April 6, 2007
Mrs. Tamplin was born March 30, 1916, in Benson, Ill. She graduated from Peoria, Ill., High School. While living in Peoria, she was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a hospital volunteer and for Common Place, a social service agency focusing on education. She also taught kindergarten.
Her husband, Roy W. Tamplin, died in 1998. Surviving are one son, James A. Tamplin of Annapolis; one daughter, Pamela A. Ringel of Highland, Ind.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Burial is private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Common Place, 514 S. Shelley St., Peoria, IL 61605.
