Jacqueline Henry Floyd, a 14 year resident of Arnold, Md. (formerly of Olney / Laytonsville) passed away on February 24, 2011, of a Myelodysplastic Syndrome related illness.
Born in Danville, Va., to the late Irene Hardiman Henry and Harry Lee Henry, descendents of patriots John Hardiman, Sr. and Patrick Henry, Jacqueline was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Anne Arundel chapter and previously of the Richard Arnold Chapter of Chevy Chase.

Jacqueline was educated in Maryland then attended the George Washington University with further fine art classes through her adult life. She was an outstanding realtor, ranking as high as #2 in the nation during her 19 year career with Shannon & Luchs Co. and later with Prudential before retiring in 1998.

Her other interests included interior design, nature studies, gardening and collecting antiques. She was former president of the Colonial Garden Club of Olney and then a member of the Severn River Garden Club and the Wednesday Club. An avid reader, she was a member of the Fair Oaks Book Club. She was also a charter member of the Olney Republican Women's Club and later the International Club of Annapolis and most recently joined the Severna Park Women's Club.

During the 1960's although she was an actress and active member of the Sandy Spring Theatre Group and performed at the Olney Theatre, her main focus was raising her four children. Jacqueline volunteered as a 'grey lady' at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in the 1960's and recently a volunteer of the Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was also a member of the Historic Annapolis Foundation and a docent at the Paca House.

Most importantly, Jacqueline loved being with her family and traveled extensively with them. Jacqueline was the loving wife of Robert Waldrop Floyd for 40 years until his death in 2005.
Jacqueline is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Floyd Underwood of Genoa, NY ., sons John Simpson Sieg, Jr. of London, England, and VA., Patrick Kenneth Sieg of Derwood, MD, and Christopher Allen Sieg of Hillsboro, NH, and 10 exceptional grandchildren.

She was a devoted member of the Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park and her memorial service will be held there on March 5th at 12 PM.
