Jack O. Cook, 64, seven year resident of Severna Park, died on November 16, 2009 at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, after a lengthy one year illness.
He was born on April 20, 1945 in Cheverly, MD and raised in Capital Heights, MD and previously lived in Arnold, MD for 22 years prior to moving to Severna Park.
He worked in the construction industry for over 40 years and was employed by AIW, Inc. for over 20 years as Vice President of Engineering.
Mr. Cook served in the U.S. Army active duty from 1965-1967 and was stationed in South Korea during the Vietnam War. He loved traveling, boating, the Caribbean, the Outer Banks and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Pat Cook (nee Wilson) of Severna Park; his children, Christy Jordan of Germantown, MD, Joe Cook of Arnold, MD and Katie Cook of Severna Park; parents, John and Ethel (Beall) Cook; brothers, James Cook of Bowie, MD and John Cook of Hubert, NC; and four grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 1:30 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church, 78 Church Road, Arnold, MD 21012. Interment will be in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
