Irvin (Bill) Maglidt, Jr., of Brooksville/Hernando Beach FL, formerly from Pasadena, MD, died at his son's home on Friday June 11, 2010 after a lengthy battle with colon cancer.

He was born June 25, 1929 in Baltimore, MD to his parents, Irvin William Maglidt, Sr. and Mildred E. (Dasch) Maglidt. He attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Maglidt was a self employed residential and commercial painting contractor. He served in the U.S Army for two years including a stay in Korea. He was a past commander of the VFW Post 9236 in Hernando Beach Florida. Mr. Maglidt enjoyed playing poker, golf and horse racing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Mae Hardy-Maglidt in June of 2007. He leaves behind forever in his heart and ours, his son, Steven William Maglidt of Pasadena; his daughter, Joanne Thomas of Baltimore; step daughter, Kelly Hardy of Cadillac, Michigan; granddaughters, Shelly Reed, Joell Thomas,Jacklyn Thomas and Christine Redmond; great-granddaughters, Ashley Mae, Emma Nichole, Zoie Anna and great-grandson, Cameron Irvin Riley, as well as, his sister, Nancy (Maglidt) Zuber and husband, Roy.
