Irma Nelsen
Irma J. Nelsen, 87, of Arnold, died of heart failure Nov. 14 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 27, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Nelsen was formerly a longtime resident of Allyn P. Robinson Senior Housing in Central Islip, N.Y.
The widow of Lester Nelsen and mother of the late Robert Nelsen, she is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Nelsen of Seattle, Wash.; one son, Warren Nelsen of Arnold; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 7 p.m. Burial is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arnold Volunteer Fire Co., 1505 Ritchie Highway, Arnold, MD 21012.
