Irene Jenny Soroka passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023, at the age of 92.

She was born on December 23, 1930, in Curtis Bay, MD, and was raised in Severna Park, MD. Irene's past residences also included Brooklyn Park, and her most recent residence in Gambrills, MD.

In June of 1953 she married the love of her life, Anthony Soroka. Irene worked for the Motor Vehicle Administration and was a clerical worker. She had several memberships which included Red Hats, McGivney Ladies Guild, and the Hand & Foot Card Club. Her hobbies included dancing to Polish music, reading, playing cards, bowling, and camping.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Soroka. She is survived by her twin sister, Doris Demchuk;  3 children, Patricia Rodgers (Tim), Sandra Reese (Rick), and Tony Soroka (Sandy); 6 grandchildren, Jason Rodgers (Mandy), Amanda Bagley (Ben), Kristen Reese, Kelly Reese, Jessica Fisher (John), Joe Soroka, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 10:30 am.

Interment will be private at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
