Howard G. "Sonny" Willey, Sr., 81, of Arnold, MD, formerly of Pasadena, MD, died on October 10, 2014 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Howard was born on April 27, 1933 in Baltimore and was raised in Pasadena. He attended High Point Elementary, George Fox Junior High and Glen Burnie, High School. He served in the Army for 8 years and was a Korean War Veteran.

Howard worked for the United States Postal Service and retired with over 30 years of service. He then worked for several years at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Howard enjoyed bowling and was an avid Orioles and Ravens Fan.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Devona "Dee" Willey.

He is survived by his children, Deborah Hauswald of Pasadena, Michael "Mick" Willey of Ellicott City, Howard "Bud" Willey, Jr. of Pasadena, Wilma Heinbuch of Pasadena and Tammy Wright of Pasadena. He is also survived by 1 brother, 3 sisters, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.


Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30am. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
