Howard Paul Jones, 81, of Arnold, died Jan. 12 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born June 25, 1924, and reared in Chance, Mr. Jones served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for General Motors for 30 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Broadneck Elks and Asbury United Methodist Church. His interests included the water and socializing with friends and family.
Surviving are his wife, Olive Mae "Doll" Jones; one daughter, Sherry Oller of Arnold; and one sister, Genevieve Mellor of Salisbury. He was the father of Kathy A. Jones, who died in 1995; and brother of the late Milton Jones, Alice Shores, Inez Dyer, Betty Horseman and Ruth Lynch.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial is private.
