On July 4, 2012, Howard W. Brown, Sr., 98, passed away of natural causes.

Devoted husband of 67 years to the late Marion E. Brown (Nee Keefer); beloved father of Gordon H. Brown, Sr. and his wife Patricia, Howard W. Brown, Jr. and his wife Donna, and Bernard T. Brown and his wife Jeannie; dear brother of Vernon Brown and the late Frederick Brown, James Brown, Mary Beauchamp, and Catherine Kotowski; adored grandfather of nine; loving great-grandfather of twelve and great-great grandfather of fourteen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Howard was born April 11, 1914 on the 1900 block of Lemmon Street in Baltimore. He moved to Severna Park in 1945. He retired from Kopper's Company in 1978. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Marion and dog, Chi-Chi. Howard was a member of the Democratic Club, the Moose Lodge, and the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department.

The family will receive visitors at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10 AM. Interment will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075.
