Hilda V. Hawkins, of Crofton and formerly of Severna Park, passed on October 20, 2016.

Mrs. Hawkins, affectionately known as "Sue" to all who knew her was a resident at Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center for several years preceding her death.  Born in Mooresville, NC, she moved to Maryland in the early 1940's and resided in Severna Park through most of the ensuing years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hawkins.  She is survived by her sons, George Maloney and William Hawkins; her daughter-in-law, Diane Hawkins; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at  12:30 p.m.  Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com
