Henry Jackson Fisher, 84, of Glen Burnie, MD died on January 6, 2009 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center due to respiratory failure.

Mr. Fisher was born on September 26, 1924 on the family farm in Penn Township, PA, where he was also raised. In 1955, he came to Baltimore, MD to work for the former Bethlehem Steel. That same year, he married his wife, Joanne Utley. He retired in 1988 as a steelworker.

Mr. Fisher enjoyed working outdoors on construction projects and automobile repair. He was an avid hunter.

Mr. Fisher is survived by his sons, Henri Fisher of Severna Park, MD and Joe Fisher of Arnold, MD; his brother, Edward Fisher of Penn Township, PA; his sisters, Esther Dunton of Linthicum, MD and Anna Harris of Penn Township, PA; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Fisher who died in 2002.

Friends and family are invited to visit at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 9:30 am at the funeral home. The interment will be private.
