Helene "Missy" Hoshall
On the morning of January 17, 2016 Missy passed away after a courageous two year battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side. Missy was born in Forest Hills, NY on January 6, 1953. She was the middle child and only daughter of Margaret and John Howell, Sr.
Her family moved to Severna Park, MD in 1967. She attended Severna Park High School and University of S. Carolina, Missy worked for the Howell companies for 38 years and spent the last 18 years at Tech USA as the General Manager of Corp Headquarters. Her co-workers were like a second family. She loved hearing stories and sharing pictures of their children and family. From Purple Fridays to Pink Thursdays, and pot luck lunches, she and her co-workers found ways to bond while handling a very busy workload. Missy was a very dedicated teammate and enjoyed helping others immensely. Her passing will leave a void that will be impossible fill.
Missy was an enthusiastic, kind, loving person, with a passion for running and enjoying the outdoors. Missy adored her home located on the Magothy River and loved gardening. She was known on the block for her perfect lawn and plants. She cherished shopping with her Mother and was always excited about a great sale. During football season, she loved spending time with her Father and making picks for the winning teams.
Missy's contagious smile, positive attitude and love of life will be deeply missed forever. Her family nickname of "Sunshine" was perfect. When you see the blazing sun against a blue sky that is how Missy made us feel every day.
Missy was a 50 year member of St. Johns the Evangalist Church in Severna Park, MD.
Missy is survived by her parents, Margaret and John Howell, Sr, her brothers John and Tom Howell.
A Mass of Celebration of her life will be held at St John the Evangalist Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146 on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 am.
A reception will be held following the Mass at Cafe Mezzanotte
