Helen M. Sevec, 84, of Severna Park, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 7 th , 2018 while surrounded by her sons and family in Annapolis, MD. Born in Baltimore, Maryland and daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Simms) Swanner. She was a loving wife to her husband Francis (Frank) Sevec for over 50 years.
Helen was a graduate of the Saint Paul (Catholic) School of the Archdioceses of Baltimore and Washington. She worked as a book keeper at the Union Trust Company of Maryland, Baltimore, George Gunther, Jr. Brewing Company, London Fog, and Glen L. Martin Company for many years in her 20's and 30's.
Helen and Frank moved to Severna Park, MD in 1967 where they raised their two sons and became members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish. As a homemaker, Helen enjoyed her life as a loving spouse, mother and grandmother to her family.
Helen was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn. She is survived by her husband Francis, sons Kenneth (Jen) of Crofton, MD, and Douglas (Maureen) of Gambrills, MD. She is also survived by brothers William of Orlando, Florida and Robert of Perry Hall, Maryland as well as sister Katherine D'Annunzio of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. She leaves her 5 grandchildren Kieran, Bridget, Amelie, Maeve and Corinne. Helen is also survived by several generations of nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit on Friday June 15, 2018 from 10:00am - 11:30am with a service to follow at 11:30am in the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.
