Helen Elizabeth Nale (nee Valis), 94, of Severna Park died on January 15, 2011 at home after a lengthy illness of Parkinson's disease.
She was born on November 6, 1916 in Baltimore, and lived as a resident of northeast Baltimore all of her life until moving to Severna Park eight years ago.
Helen was a longtime parishioner of The Shrine of the Little Flower, a current parishioner of St. Andrew by the Bay Church, and a member of the Czech Catholic Union. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Nale was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Nale Sr., who died in 1961; one son, Timothy Mark Nale; one grandson, Timothy John Nale; one great grandson, Alexander Fee; her sisters, Anna Kouba, Mary Koontz, Lillian and Josephine Valis; and her brothers, Wenceslaus J., Joseph, and John Valis.
She is survived by her children, Judith Ann Fee (Edwin, Sr.) of Severna Park, John Earl Nale, Jr. (Frances) of Marietta, GA, Hellen Nale Valle (Mark) of Severna Park, Christine Ann Phillips (Jacque Jr.) of Stoney Beach, MD; her ten grandchildren, Edwin Jr., Renee, John III, Andrew, Jessica, Michael, Lauren, Jacque III, Matthew, and Julianne; her seven great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Melva Valis of McLean, VA.
Family and friends may visit on Monday Januray 17, 2011from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday January18, 2011 at 10:00am at
St. Andrew By the Bay, 701 College Pkwy in Annapolis. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Baltimore.
