Helen Erickson Mathieu, 93, a longtime resident of Severna Park for 56 years, died on August 28, 2009 at Cranberry Cottage, due to natural causes after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 06, 1916 in Philadelphia, PA, where she was raised.
Mrs. Mathieu was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Chartwell Country Club, an avid golfer & bowler, very athletic, enjoyed playing bridge, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Roberts of Severna Park, MD; three grandchildren, Kelly Austin of Glen Burnie, MD, Holly Yeatman of Severna Park, MD, and Katie Peiffer of Millersville, MD; and eight great grandchildren, Carter, Mackenzie, Palmer, and Blake Austin, Tyler, Zachary ,and Logan Yeatman, and Jeremy Peiffer.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, August 31, 2009 from 4-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park, MD.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glen Haven Cemetery.
