Helen "Lynne" McNight Thompson, 80, of Arnold and formerly of Claymont, Del., died July 18 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Born Sept. 25, 1925 in Hollidaysburg, Pa, Mrs. Thompson enjoyed gardening, painting, acting and her activities with the Claymont Women's Club.

She is survived by James I. Thompson Jr., her husband of 57 years; three children, John M. Thompson of Landenburg, Pa., Leslie A. Campbell of Arnold and Stephen E. Thompson of Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Duncan of Arcola, Ill., and Evangeline Blood of Duncanville, Texas; and two brothers, James McNight of Stanardsville, Va., and Henry McNight of Clarksville, Ark.
