Helen N. Holmes, 80, a resident of Pasadena for more than 60 years, died of renal complications Oct. 15 at Baltimore-Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie after a two-year illness.
Born Dec. 4, 1924, and reared in Baltimore, Mrs. Holmes was a pharmacist technician who retired from Drug Fair after 20 years.
She enjoyed crafts, knitting, reading and eating Maryland crabs.
The widow of Raymond T. Holmes, she is survived by one son, Randy L. Holmes of Salisbury; one daughter, Patricia L. Holmes Thornton of Arnold; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com
