Hazel Elaine Hager, 74, a longtime resident of Landover Hills, Maryland and most recently of Bedford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Easter day, April 24, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
Hazel was born on February 28, 1937 in Cumberland, Maryland to Elrose and Glenn Phillips. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Cumberland. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis (Buddy) Hager. They were happily married for 54 years. She was a homemaker and mother of four. She enjoyed crafting, especially crocheting and playing Bingo. She loved visiting her family and traveled quite a bit before her death.
She is survived by her children, Karen Unkle and her husband Danny of Charlotte Hall, Md, Rick Hager and his wife Joy of Huntingtown, Md, Gregg Hager and his wife Beverly of Simi Valley, Ca., and Vicky Jenkins and her husband David of Annapolis and her grandchildren and a great granddaughter, Stephanie Allison of Columbia, Michael Allison of Ft. Washington, Erin, John and Tommy Jenkins of Annapolis and Elizabeth Eubanks of Columbia as well as a host of other beloved relatives and friends. At her request, her body will be cremated.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 1st from 2-4pm at the Broadneck Elks Lodge, 931 Lake Dr., Arnold, MD 21012.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of your choice.
