Harry Matthews Jr.
Harry E. Matthews Jr., 79, a resident of Millersville for 43 years, died April 22 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Matthews was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Baltimore where he was also raised.
He served in the Army from 1946 to 1948.
Mr. Matthews was a retired printer and worked for various printing companies throughout his life.
He enjoyed watching sports.
He was preceded in death by one son, Steven Matthews.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Jane Matthews of Millersville; one son, Kenneth E. Matthews of Millersville; one daughter, Terri Ellen Askew of Pasadena; and two grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment is at St. Johns Cemetery. As published April 25, 2008 in The Capital Newspaper in Annapolis, Md.
